Omar makes home his office.
Awaiting the Governor’s decision on his resignation, Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah today preferred to work from his residence which was thronged by supporters and leaders of National Conference and coalition partner Congress.
Away from high-voltage activities in the state assembly, the Chief Minister preferred to concentrate on important files besides meeting delegations in between.
An emotional Omar had yesterday submitted his resignation to the Governor N N Vora after senior PDP MLA Muzzaffar Hussain Beigh had alleged his involvement in the 2006 sex scandal.
Omar’s residence at Gupkar Road here became the central point of activities as a number of leaders and supporters flocked to persuade him to rethink on resignation. Throughout the day, people from different parts of the state came to the residence, appealing to him to take back his resignation.
